Functional capacity throughout life is reduced when your pet is elderly.
It is important to maintain independence and prevent disability, therefore, rehabilitate and guarantee quality of life.
At this stage of life it is important to always focus on prevention, as your pet will not always manifest symptoms of illness and even the apparently healthy animal requires care.
In SOLUMVET our Geriatrics service was created to help your pet live longer and with a better quality of life.
In this way we intend to alert to the specific needs of age, for example the most adequate nutrition, oral and corporal hygiene, the comfort and a family environment adjusted and adapted to the animal.
We always recommend a general check up for animals over 7 years of age, in order to be able to accompany and support the owners in this new stage of their pet’s life.
