Ophthalmology is the veterinary area that deals with eye diseases. Various eye diseases such as conjunctivitis, corneal ulcers, cataracts, glaucoma and many others are common in pet animals.
If diagnosed and treated early, they can be controlled, but a delay in their identification can, in the most severe cases, lead to a loss of vision.
